Our founder has seen foster care firsthand. At Fostered by Faith, we understand how these everyday needs shape the lives of children in care. Seeing it firsthand means we don’t just imagine the gaps — we’ve tripped over them, patched them with duct tape and prayer, and learned better ways to build bridges. Fostered by Faith was born from moments that matter: the quiet relief of a child clutching a warm blanket on a cold night, the small pride in a backpack that actually fits, the confidence that comes from owning a toothbrush and a clean pair of jeans. These aren’t luxuries. They’re the scaffolding of stability, dignity, and hope.
Everyday needs like clothing that fits, school supplies that last the semester, consistent meals, health care, toiletries, birthday celebrations, and the ordinary rituals other children take for granted are powerful. They shape self-worth, influence school performance, and affect how a child sees their place in the world. When those basics are met, children in care can stop surviving and start thriving. They show up to class ready to learn, they make friends more easily, and they begin to imagine futures beyond the next placement.
Our approach is practical, compassionate, and creative. We prioritize items and services that reduce disruption: care kits that travel from home to home, mentors who teach life skills, emergency funds for sudden moves, and community-built birthday boxes that turn a painful day into a celebration. We partner with social workers, foster families, and faith communities to ensure aid arrives where it helps most — quickly, respectfully, and consistently.
At Fostered by Faith, faith isn’t just a name. It’s a promise that every child deserves to be seen, equipped, and celebrated. We honor the ordinary rituals that stitch a child’s life together because we know: when the small things are tended to, the big things get possible.
Fostered by Faith exists to change the trajectory of children’s lives in foster care by putting their needs first. Our goal is simple but bold: to provide stable, loving support that helps every child thrive, regardless of race, religion, nationality, or background.
Core commitments
Child-centered care: Every decision, program, and partnership prioritizes the emotional, physical, educational, and spiritual well-being of the child.
Inclusivity: We serve all children without discrimination, honoring diversity and respecting family cultures and identities.
Permanency and stability: We work to secure safe, permanent homes—through foster and kinship care, adoption support, and reunification services—so children can grow up with predictability and belonging.
Empowerment: We equip caregivers, biological families, and communities with training, resources, and advocacy tools so children receive consistent, competent support.
Holistic support: From trauma-informed therapy and mentoring to educational assistance and basic needs like clothing and school supplies, we address the whole child.
Collaboration: We partner with churches, social services, schools, and community organizations to create networks of care that follow children wherever life takes them.
